"Irrelevant introduction, you have to cut that off!”– a random stranger's exact words to a woman who managed to transform criticism into power and gain over 12,000 subscribers to an uprising podcast channel, the hosting of Adulting Millennials PH, Janine Mariel Medina.

She started from the bottom, only using her phone to record.

Just like any other podcaster, she also has gone through a lot of self-doubts, challenges, and criticisms before she has composed herself to inspire others.

Janine at the age of 25 became an entrepreneur, financial adviser, and podcast host.

Tuning in, with a purpose

Self-growth, self-love, and self-development. To make her podcast more relevant for adulting millennials, Janine is not afraid of exploring different topics for every episode.

"Personal growth and development eventually became the core message of my podcast. I believe that in every circumstance life may throw, self-love will be your undying alliance," Janine said.

"I don't even want to create content for the sake of being posted. I want my content to be impactful and valuable...I really want to grow," she added.

To adulting millennials

For Janine, bringing inspiration to others lit a fire in her– the main reason why she keeps going and strives more to influence larger audiences with her inspiring words and empowering messages.

"They should not give up, it's okay to pause, but don't give up. By just simply showing up to work on your dreams, just take it easy and trust yourself, and set your priorities right," she said.

Being an adult means knowing what to come first to make yourself grow. Hindrances would come from time to time but it's one thing you don't let consume you.

"Whenever I feel like giving up, I remind myself why I started," she added.

Overwhelming responses from her listeners motivate her as well. In the middle of the interview, we asked Miss Janine about her feelings toward her fans.

"Nakakakilig...because I get to inspire people and they also inspire me...it really makes me happy that they connect with me," she said.

The follower

As young adults, we struggle a lot, with our savings, investments, personal financing, mental health, self-development, and the list goes on.

"Being able to find a podcast channel that has extensive and relatable contents like what Miss Janine produces, is a tool to comfort myself in perplexing situations, on trying to figure out how to conquer this thing called adulthood," Erika Sinaking stated, a listener of Adulting Millennials PH.

Since there's no real handbook out there to help up, let us join Janine Mariel and her episodes as she talks about lifestyle, career, and adulting. Just tune in to Adulting Millennial PH on Spotify to be ready to conquer adulthood.
