COMELEC proclaims the 'Magic 12'

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has proclaimed the country's winning senators from this year's elections on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.

A combination of returning, reelected, and novices politicians gathered the highest votes during the May 9 voting.

The following are the newly elected 12 senators:

• Robin Padilla – 26,612,434 votes

• Loren Legarda – 24264,969 votes

• Raffy Tulfo – 23,396,945 votes

• Win Gatchalian – 20,602,655 votes

• Chiz Escudero – 20,271,458 votes

• Mark Villar – 19,475,592 votes

• Alan Peter Cayetano – 19,294,314 votes

• Migz Zubiri – 18,734,336 votes

• Joel Villanueva – 18,486,034 votes

• JV Ejercito – 15,841,858 votes

• Risa Hontiveros – 15,420,807 votes

• Jinggoy Estrada – 14,108,625 votes

The newly proclaimed 12 senators of the Philippines will serve a six-year term together with the 2019 elected senators and will begin their service to the public on June 30, 2022.
