Every one of the country's citizens has the right to universal suffrage in a system under progressive values. As a byproduct of the upcoming election, individuals register to vote, and political candidates launch their promotional activities.

The 2022 presidential race in the Philippines is gaining traction. Ferdinand Marcos Jr, Manny Pacquiao, Francisco Domagoso, and Maria Leonor Robredo are the undisputed front-runners among the many people who have already submitted their applications.

Democracy relies heavily on elections. To be brought to justice, government politicians must enact bills that reflect the desires of their constituents.

We hope that the elections will serve their primary aim of promoting political involvement, choosing politicians, ensuring equitable participation in politics, and influencing governmental legislation.

After becoming a lawyer and obtaining her license, she worked for the Public Attorney's Office, where she served until 1999.

During this time, she provided free legal services to low-income plaintiffs to uphold the Constitution's demand for an equitable opportunity in the judicial system.

As a congresswoman, Robredo served as vice-chair of the House committees on good governance, public accountability, and legislative reform, and she was a member of 11 additional committees.

She was well-known for her advocacy of the Bangsamoro Basic Law and the Freedom of Information Act. On Robredo's legislative agenda, inclusive leadership and openness were two main goals and priorities.

While in Congress, she was encouraged to run for Vice President, and she overcame the immense difficulty of becoming the country's second most powerful political official.

The hit of the COVID19 Pandemic

As the COVID-19 outbreak escalated in magnitude and intensity, VP Leni and her office showed humility and determination by initiating one action after another.

However, in light of a restricted budget, the Office of the Vice President started numerous programs with multiple stakeholders and organizations to assist frontline workers and populations affected by this crisis.

.

Through community marts, they presented the opportunity for trade merchants and tricycle operators to re-establish their livelihoods and support families, populations, and industries that had ended up losing their employment and revenue streams.

The office extended assistance to children, educators, and their households undertaking remote education courses. Furthermore, they pushed for widespread immunization and testing and free medical teleconsultation for individuals.

As typhoons Quinta, Rolly, and Ulysses sprinted throughout Luzon at the halfway point of 2020, the Vice President and her office remained unwavering.

When typhoons ravaged parts of the country, VP Leni was one of the first public servants to reach the devastated communities.

The OVP was delighted to empower numerous towns in need by cultivating a sense of rapid and deliberate reaction within her office and embracing the Filipino people's Bayanihan spirit.

VP Leni relies on the people's strength of participation and conviction to facilitate her fellow Filipinos, and she decides to continue doing so.

With her concrete platforms such as “Kalayaan sa COVID Plan,” which intends to alleviate the Filipino people's dread of the Pandemic, starvation, and educational inadequacy caused by the outbreak through a 10-point plan.
