Adamsonians dominate the top 10 of AYDC 2022

Three teams of Architecture students from Adamson University made it to the top 10 of this year's ArchiNEXT: HCG Young Designers' Competition (AYDC).

Sitting on the eighth spot were Maximillan S. Wandag, Ryan Cedric A. Fermin, and Lincoln M. Anicete's "Taklobo", while Rafael P. Malonzo, Angelica Mae I. Rupido, and Sheena Kyla V. Biaga's "Seanergy" ended up at the seventh. Both teams were guided by Dr. Runddy Ramilo.

On the other hand, Jimwel Louise C. Ricafort, a solo competitor advised by Ar. Ramon Bizares and Ar. Manolet Garcia snatched the top 5 with "Tukad." All teams signed up for the competition were supported by Ar. Sylvester Shaun D. Seño.

"Continue to progress and improve towards the betterment of our college and for the field of Architecture," said the local United Architect of the Philippines Student Auxiliary of AdU as they congratulated the winners early in May.

Students from Bulacan State University were awarded as the grand winners followed by Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology in the second place and fellow runner ups from Don Honorio Ventura State University and National University-Manila in the third and fourth place, Cavite State University in the sixth place, Far Eastern University in the ninth place, and the University of Santo Tomas ended up in the tenth place.

The "Most Popular Entry" special award was given to students from the Divine Word College of Calapan, while the "Most Innovative" and "Best Presentation" awards were given to those from the National University-Manila.

The AYDC 2022 Awards Ceremony was held at the SMX Convention Center last April 2022 and was also streamed via Facebook Live. The said event was sponsored by HCG Philippines and the United Architects of the Philippines.
