The February 2022 bar exam results were released by the Supreme Court (SC) of the Philippines with a record-high passing rate on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 12.

In accordance with several Local Government Units nationwide, the examinations were held digitally in 31 different sites.
They have also made it a two-day exam instead of four due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After almost two years of having no new lawyers, the SC has announced that a total of 8,241 out of 11,402 takes passed the exams.
This translates to a proud 72.28 percent passing rate—making it the highest in the past years.
Going forth the traditional rules, SC Associate Justice Marvic Leonen, Bar Examination Chairperson, announced that the 2022 bar exams are not going to release the top ten passers.
Instead, granting 14 takers an "excellent performance" for having an above 90 percent grade.
Meanwhile, 761 takers that had an 85-90 percent grade are recognized with an "exemplary performance."
Leonen has also proclaimed that for this batch, they removed all reference to 'fail,' and made it as 'did not pass' or 'did not finish'.
The University of the Philippines topped with most excellent passers having four, followed by Ateneo de Manila University and the University of San Carlos with two each, and one excellent passer each in San Beda University, University of the Cordilleras, Ateneo de Davao University, Arellano University, Far Eastern University, and University of Cebu.
The successful bar takers are scheduled for their oath-taking on May 2, 2022, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
