As the Presidential elections are nearing, more and more people show their love and support for their campaigning candidate, wishing that they would help and bring prosperous achievements to the country.
During the Manalakaran grand rally in San fernando, Pampanga, the "Kakampinks" showed their powerful spirit in support of the running candidates, Leni Robredo as their President and Kiko Pangilinan as Vice President.
They gathered a crowd of supporters of around 220,000, which beats the Pasig rally that held the highest position with more than 137,000 supporters.
One of the highlights of the rally was when the Pampanga Farmers raised Kiko's hands—making him emotional.
When Pangilinan finished his speech for the Pampangueños, his wife, Sharon Cuneta—with a smiling and heartwarming face—introduced a group of people who would love to raise his hands in support of him.
With a surprised and emotional expression on Kiko's face, the farmers of San Nicolas, Pampanga—whom he swears to protect and devotes his plans of action when he sits in the second-highest postion in the country—slowly entered the stage with a touched and endearing look.
Pangilinan warmly welcomed, hugged, and sincerely greeted Virgilio Alfaro, whom he calls "Tatang Neg." He frequently talked about the farmers he constantly helps and defends during his campaign speeches around the Philippines.
Pangilinan then asked Robredo to join them on stage to introduce the farmers with delight to the cheering crowd.
"...siya po ang ipinaglalaban namin ni Vice President Leni; para maiangat ang buhay nila, niya, at ang ating magsasaka't mangingisda. Palakpakan po natin ang ating mga magsasaka."
(English translation: "...he is the one that Vice President Leni and I fight for; to lift their, his, and the lives of our farmers and fishfolks. Let us give a round of applause to our farmers.")
With the loud claps and cheers of the crowd, they continued singing Rosas—a campaign song for the Leni-Kiko tandem—while watching Pangilinan greet the farmers, the supporters of the rally could not help but get teary-eyed and emotional from the heartfelt scene.
Pangilinan with the farmers and Robredo remarkably raised their hands to signify the purpose of their campaign: to fight for the rights of Filipino farmers and fisherfolks.
