Overseas voters in the UAE arrived as early as 7 a.m. last Sunday, April 1, 2022, to begin the first day of the 2022 voting elections, which will last until May 9, 2022, the day of the local elections in the Philippines.

The poll voting happened in the Consulate, and because Sunday was a holiday, many of them took the opportunity to come and vote for their chosen candidates.

It was reported that voters waited patiently until their turn, as they were also brought to the consulate and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) before casting their ballots. There has also been an additional polling location, which already began last Tuesday, April 12, 2022.

Voters are not allowed to bring their children with them. Pregnant women and the elderly, on the other hand, are given priority.

They were also reminded of the electioneering. Wearing campaign shirts and accessories is not permitted, and having no appointment is needed, as the Consulate said.

Due to the obvious country's high temperatures and dry conditions, they make an effort to remain hydrated and healthy. Workers have been assigned to monitor their health and temperature.

The Consulates also make certain that everyone is still adhering to the COVID-19 safety guidelines.
