Sara Duterte thanked Marcos Jr. for trusting and choosing her for the education secretary post. She explained that she has been given the task to produce skilled learners and guide the next generation of patriotic Filipinos who advocate peace and discipline.
Marcos said that even though he has not yet been officially proclaimed, his camp is already preparing to appoint his future cabinet members and other positions in his administration despite the country's covid-19 and economic crisis.
“Our incoming Vice President has agreed to take the brief of the DepEd. I asked Inday Sara if she could do the job because being the DepEd secretary is difficult, and she agreed.” Marcos stated.
According to Marcos, it is also possible that he will appear to the media more often to provide information on their preparations.
