After their opening day loss, the Adamson Soaring Falcons bounced back and secured their first win against the UE Red Warriors, 82-66, in the UAAP Season 84 men’s basketball on Tuesday, March 29 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Coming off a disappointing 2-point loss against NU, the Soaring Falcons dominated the UE Warriors firing up a total of 10-three pointers, and 36 points off the bench.
Point guard Jerom Lastimosa puts up a show scoring 14 points from an impressive 100 percent field goal, alongside Keith Zaldivar with 11 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.
The Soaring Falcons had an aggressive start tallying a total of 5-three pointers during the first quarter, ending it with a comfortable 20-point advantage, 32-12.
Entering the second half, 50-32, the Soaring Falcons gave no mercy as they continued their momentum, releasing three consecutive 3-point shots from Joaquin Jaymalin, Keith Zaldivar, and Joshua Yerro.
Ending the third quarter with a statement 34-point lead, 76-42.
Down the stretch, Sabandal scored a dunk off the pass from Ricky Peromingan to finish the game with a 16-point lead, 82-66.
Meanwhile, UE’s Kris Pagsanjan tallied 17 points, together with Aurin Catacutan with 12 points.
Adamson, sitting at a 1-1 win-loss record, will strive for their second win against the defending champion Ateneo Blue Eagles, while winless UE will try their luck against UST on Thursday, March 31.
