The Adamson Soaring Falcons lost against the FEU Tamaraws with a narrow score of 65-66, in the UAAP Season 84 Men’s Basketball, at the Mall of Asia Arena on April 7, 2022.
In their 6th game of the season, the Soaring Falcons fought their hardest in the aim to secure their second win.
Despite having an early start with their point forward, Vince Magbuhos, the Falcons ended up low-scoring in the first half, giving FEU an early lead.
Leveling their advantage with Lenda Douanga’s rebounds and Cedrick Manzano’s 3-pointers, the Soaring Falcons began climbing their way back up, ending the second half of the game with 28-26 in their favor.
At halftime, Manzano brings the Falcons to a leading score of 35-33, alongside the tough defense from Jerom Lastimosa.
By the fourth quarter, the Soaring Falcons left no mercy as Lastimosa shot consecutive 3-pointers, partnered with Magbuhos’ intense defense.
It was a tight game for both teams as the Tamaraws had to break through the tight defense against the Falcons, reaching a late-game climb as they scored 62-63 in their favor.
The future looked bright for the Soaring Falcons as they once again took the lead 65-63 by the end of the 4th Quarter.
In spite of their aggressive, late-game climb, the Falcons lose by a mere one point as FEU’s RJ Abarrientos scores the winning shot, giving the Tamaraws the lead of 65-66 by the end of the game.
The Adamson Soaring Falcons look forward to making a comeback and clinching their second win on Saturday, April 9, 2022.
