Soaring Falcons Fought a Good Fight Against the Bulldogs

The Adamson Soaring Falcons almost knocked off the court with its greatest rival NU Bulldogs, in its latest game on March 26, 2020, in MOA Arena for the elimination round with the final score of 69-71.

The game started with a hunger for victory as Didat Hanapi made the first point by turning a strong move to the basket as he was also declared as the “Top-Scored” for the Soaring Falcons with a total score of 20 points and Jerome Lastimosa, the star point guard of the team with a total of 18 points.

National University, who was eager to match the game, executed competent shots ending the First Quarter with 13-19. The team tried to duel by continuously blocking the opponent’s move by making 5 consecutive points with a three-point shot.

The defense was there however the offense caused a lap as the other soaring falcons, Dounga and Figueroa got heated in the game and failed to execute intense shots within the last seconds of the 2nd Quarter which was supposed to have opened the door to steal the game leaving them with a double-digit advantage by the opposing team.

The team relaxed and decided to intensify their strategy by doing their best to block the opponent's move and strengthen their defense. They were able to put the momentum in their favor, closing the gap to 52-54 in the 3rd Quarter.

After a long pathway of perseverance to win, Didat Hanapi managed to turn the table, putting the game of his life by 55-54 in the first half of the 4th Quarter and finally getting hold of the match.

But the advantage didn't last, the raging passion and dedication of both teams raised the tension in the arena by breaking the gap and tying the score by 65-65 in the last two minutes of the game.

The very intense and close game ended with a final score of 69-71. Both teams exemplified great enthusiasm and still, the Adamson Soaring Falcons pulled up an outstanding performance throughout the game and the whole Adamson Community is in deep gratitude for their devotion and adherence.
